A clear view of the workpiece is crucial, especially during grinding processes. This makes it possible to monitor machining progress and detect surface defects at an early stage while also highlighting any misalignment of the tool – resulting in optimised grinding results and significantly reduced machining times. Conventional grinding discs obstruct the user's view of the machining area, making it hard to estimate how much material has already been removed and how much still needs removing. This means that the tool must be set down time and again to check the grinding progress. If this is not done at regular intervals, this can lead to unintentional material loss. As a result, the area of the workpiece to be machined is visible and the process is under constant control. And all without setting down the tool.
