Precision in plain sight

A grinding disc that becomes practically transparent during the grinding process – the CC-GRIND VIEW from PFERD makes this a reality
A clear view of the workpiece is crucial, especially during grinding processes. This makes it possible to monitor machining progress and detect surface defects at an early stage while also highlighting any misalignment of the tool – resulting in optimised grinding results and significantly reduced machining times. Conventional grinding discs obstruct the user's view of the machining area, making it hard to estimate how much material has already been removed and how much still needs removing. This means that the tool must be set down time and again to check the grinding progress. If this is not done at regular intervals, this can lead to unintentional material loss. There is also a risk of thermal overload or the formation of dents in the workpiece. Constant correcting and reworking is routine for many workers.
The CC-GRIND VIEW from Marienheide-based tool manufacturer PFERD has six viewing windows that make the disc transparent during the grinding process. As a result, the area of the workpiece to be machined is visible and the process is under constant control. And all without setting down the tool. Users reach their goal faster, which saves time and therefore costs.
But there are other advantages to the CC-GRIND VIEW. Firstly, the backer of the grinding disc is made of glass fibre-reinforced plastic, meaning it is just as robust and safe to use as a grinding wheel. Then there is the slightly conical geometry of the grinding disc, which ensures optimum use of the abrasive. Finally, the disc is now even more lightweight, stable and efficient. And even more ergonomic – because many years of PFERDVALUE experience result in a low noise level and significantly less vibration and dust generation with the CC-GRIND VIEW than with conventional grinding discs.
The CC-GRIND VIEW is part of the CC-GRIND family from PFERD. The grinding discs in five different versions (CC-GRIND ROBUST, SOLID, FLEX, STRONG and now also VIEW) are suitable for a wide range of requirements. For surface grinding, work on weld seams, chamfering and deburring, these tools have long since made a name for themselves thanks to the functional and ergonomic advantages they offer.
