Description

Conical countersinks from PFERD are characterized by their particularly sharp blades that are able to achieve very good results, even at low cutting speeds.

High-performance tools with a countersink angle of 90° for countersinking 90° screws for particularly tough and hard materials such as alloyed and high-strength steel and stainless steel (INOX). Conical countersinks with unequal pitch (UGT) are characterized by a specially developed geometry with wide flutes, which enables optimal chip removal and heat dissipation, smooth running and optimum results. Long tool life and temperature-resistant version due to Co content.

Advantages
  • Very high stock removal rate and optimum chip removal.
  • Burr-free results even at low cutting speeds.
  • Long tool life.
  • High workpiece surface quality.
  • Smooth running.
  • Low countersinking force and a good surface quality.
  • Specially developed geometry with wide flutes for optimal chip removal and heat dissipation.
Recommendations for use
  • Use cutting oil or compressed air as a coolant/lubricant.
  • Particularly well suited to producing exact countersinks.
